Born in Brownsville, Texas, Dr. Laura Cisneros came home to serve the community that shaped her.
For more than 30 years, Dr. Laura Cisneros practiced medicine, including more than 20 years caring for cancer patients as an oncologist. Medicine taught her to listen carefully, stand up for people who need an advocate, and find practical solutions when the problems are difficult.
After returning to Brownsville, Dr. Cisneros continued caring for her community and her family. Now she is bringing that same commitment to public service.
Dr. Cisneros believes Brownsville and HD-38 deserve a representative who will listen to residents, ask tough questions, work for practical solutions, and put the needs of families ahead of politics.

Dr. Cisneros will work to improve educational outcomes, expand career and trade training, and ensure teachers have the support and resources they need to help students succeed.
Dr. Cisneros will support law enforcement and first responders, promote safer neighborhoods, and advocate for better infrastructure, reliable drainage, and essential services.
